Lord Have Mercy...

So, this is rather animoo of me, but I feel it fits what I was going for. It's more than just a lolita-style nun, btw, everyone I showed it to awwed and cooed over it, but they didn't quite notice the dagger...
Really a commentary from my view on religion, I guess. I've never understood how something is supposed to keep people from sinning when they offer complete forgiveness to anyone who happens to have a rosary and a few choice words. And really, it's not religion I despise, as religion in and of itself is love towards fellow man, it's really the Church, and there is a difference. I could have my own religion and be totally at peace with myself, but the Church is what happens when man decides to take something pure and use it to pursue his own goals. Yes, you may preach love and peace, but will you turn a blind eye as long as your collection plate is full? Will you follow the old ways of your 'one true religion' or only those that suit you?
And don't worry, it's not just Christianity, they just have symbols more readily available.


I really want to color this, by the way. I was thinking along the lines of a Bridget color scheme.
